An infant care center is someplace that you take your child because you need someone to take care of them when you can not do so. Since you are placing your child there, make sure that you learn just what they will provide for the child from the moment he or she comes in to the moment that they leave. Food, education, attention, interaction, toys and play time are just a few of the things to consider.

When selecting an infant care center, spend a few minutes dedicated to getting to know the providers at that center. Who are they? What education and experience do they have? Do you like them? Would you be friends with them outside of this situation? If you can not honestly know the answers to these things, you do not know your child care provide well enough to leave your infant there.

In infant care centers, security is one of the largest considerations you should have. Find out before enrolling your baby just how they handle security. If you can not pick the child up, how will they know who can and can not do so? If someone shows up wanting your baby, how do they approve them to take the child? Security is vitally important to your child's well being.
